30 June 2016 - Nearly 100 interested participants attended the Munich Aerospace Summer School "Flying Robots -– Concepts and Challenges of Aerial Autonomy“ from 22 to 24 June. During a fireside chat the former director of the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, Professor Gerhard Haerendel, talked about crucial stages in his career. Research Group Meetings for members of the Munich Aerospace Network and a Team Event for scholarship recipients rounded off the Summer School on the last day of the event.



As part of the Regional Leaders Summit (RLS), nine junior researchers from five partner regions of Bavaria accepted the invitation by Munich Aerospace to join at Lake Ammersee. The Summer School was presented by Professor Werner Staudacher, former Chair of the Institute for Aviation Engineering at the University of the German Armed Forces and current Member of the Munich Aerospace Scientific Advisory Board.
