Innovative approaches to develop alternative fuels and sustainable engineering concepts will continue to have a strong impact on the aeronautics and space industries. Bavaria's partner regions Georgia, Quebec, São Paulo, Western Cape, Shandong and Upper Austria were already represented at last's years retreat event. With the Munich Aerospace Summer Summit 2017 being the first event of its kind, in the coming years the event venue will rotate between the seven partner regions of the Regional Leaders' Summit network. The Summit opened with keynote presentations by Prof. Mirko Hornung (Bauhaus Luftfahrt) and Dr Frank Anton (Siemens), followed by a panel discussion on "The Potential of Public-Private Partnerships for Green Aerospace Technologies".
