• TUM Partner Event in Garching

  25 October 2017 - 25 members of the Munich Aerospace Research Network have followed the invitation to take a tour of selected laboratories and research facilites at the TUM Department of Mechanical Engineering in Garching. Professor Mirko Hornung gave the participants a short introduction to the department structure and also introduced his Institute of Aircraft Design. After Professor Ulricht Walter's presentation of the Institute of Astronautics, the participants took tours at the Institute of Astronautics, the Institute of Flight System Dynamics and the Institute of Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. The event ended with a get-together and the opportunity for exchange among the group and with the professors.[ more... ]

• "24h Challenge" at LBC on October 23

  On October 23, ”Cevotec GmbH“ (www.cevotec.com) has already been the third LBC-based start-up company taking advantage of the “24h challenge” offered by the Airbus Leadership University. Airbus managers enrolled in the “Experienced Manager Programme” support young companies in finding solutions and strategies for a given topic in the frame of the “24h challenge”. This initiative contributes to a rapid and successful growth of the start-ups.

  6 October 2017 - In the upcoming winter term 2017/2018, the TUM Institute of Flight System Dynamics once again presents the lecture series "Forum Munich Aerospace". Besides contributions from representatives of the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics and Airbus, there will also be a talk by Dr Frank Anton, member of the Board of Trustees of Munich Aerospace and Head of eAircraft at Siemens. • Scholarship Recipient Tugba Akman at international Summer School in China

  12 September 2017 - Supported by Munich Aerospace, scholarship recipient Tugba Akman accepts the invitation to attend the International Graduate Summer School in Aeronautics and Astronautics 2017. • Almost 70 participants at the Ludwig Bölkow Campus Roadshow

  25 July 2017 - In collaboration with the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the association bavAIRia, LBC GmbH and Munich Aerospace invited SMEs and research institutions across Bavaria to the so called Ludwig Bölkow Campus Roadshow event. The purpose of this gathering was to present LBC activities to a broad audience in order to attract further companies and research institutions to join the LBC. Several research projects conducted on the LBC were showcased, and selected companies based on LBC delivered a pitch about their activities. The event has been highly appreciated by almost 70 guests. A follow-up action is planned in fall this year.[ more... ]
